As part of community work in the U Cukrovaru locality, the residents, with the help of community workers, prepared and organized the first cooking workshop in history with a competition for the best main course based on the television competition „Prostřeno“ on Thursday, February 9, 2023. The event also included a lecture on the origin and process of coffee processing with a small tasting, led by an expert from practice. Seven contestants, five women and two men, took part in the event and prepared their best main course for the expert jury. The judges had the opportunity to test their taste buds on traditional Roma dishes, such as goja, pigeons, dumplings or even traditional Czech dishes, which included homemade dumplings with sirloin, cabbage cabbage or classic cabbage with roast meat. The contestants found out who was lucky after the event. The jury evaluated the first three best dishes and awarded gifts to the winners. Other participants received small prizes. The participants liked the event, so maybe in the next years we will continue the event and create a tradition. During the event, photos were taken, food was tasted, neighborly relations were deepened and mutual relations were strengthened, there was a pleasant atmosphere among the residents.
